The heavy rains and flooding that occurred during the Labor Day weekend forced the closing of the 2018 Apple Dumpling Day Races and Festivities.  Many runners chose to donate their entry fee to the area Flood Relief.  That amount totaled a whopping $3,628.

But that's not the end of the story.  Our Elroy Lions Club decided to match the donations made by the runners.  Now the total donation was up to $7,256!  Wow!  But the generosity doesn't end there, either.

One of our local business charity funds, the Brunner Foundation, matched all donations that were made.  The $3,628 that became $7,256 now became $14,512!  The Elroy Lions Club sincerely thanks all of those runners who donated their entry fee.  Your kindness multiplied into a huge amount of giving.  Thank You!  Thank You!  Thank You!

The trails will hopefully be "good to go" in 2019.
